Study the prevalence of cysticercus tenuicollis in sheep and goats in Baghdad city

Cysticercus tenuicollis larval stage of dog’s parasite Taenia hydatigena located in visceral organs intermediate hosts (sheep and goats). In this study, the total 100 sheep goats’ were inspected, C. was found 21% (21/100); while rate infection 35% goats (35/100). According to months high revealed July, June, August, 40% (4/10), 30% (3/10), 25% (5/25) respectively; lowest 10% (1/10) recorded January, March, April February, 20% (2/10), (3/10) respectively, rest (4/10). sheep, highest with 21.42% (18/84) males 18.75% (3/16) females (35/100) female 0% (0).
